    Description

    Curry arrived to Europe in the 18th century by the soldiers of the provinces of the British Empire. During their abidance in India,they loved and appreciated the local cuisine and the very aromatic blends of spices. They brought the indian word "karipodi", name of a dish of rice in India with this mixture of spice and named it curry. The European version of the curry has only little in common with many curry blends which are used in Indian cuisine. There they make curry according to dish which is being prepared. It may consist from twelve up to forty different spices and so its composition would be the cook's secret.In European cuisine, curry powder used to give taste on exotic dishes with rice and various meat dishes. Moreover, it can accompany well poultry, many vegetables, soups and sauces.
