The senna leaves are known as Cassia senna, Cassia angustifolia Vahl and Cassia acutifolia Delile. It belongs to senna genus which includes about 260 species and is a relative of legumes (Fabaceae or Leguminosae). The height of the deciduous shrub reaches up to 3m height, the flowers are yellow or orange-yellow and its fruit has 5-8 seeds. The senna leaves are used for serious cases of constipation and of hemorrhoids and for infections by E. Coli and Candida albicans.
