Celery is a perennial aromatic herb with thick vegetation which reaches up to 30-40cm. Celery is one of the first plants which were grown and found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The Greeks used it as a healing plant, while the Romans preferred to use it in cooking because of its strong flavor. The chopped leaves of celery are added during cooking in soups and boiled meat. Fresh, it fits well with salads and poultry.
