Red saffron is known as "crocus" from the ancient times to Greeks for its use as a medicine,herb, pigment even more as spice. It is cultivated on Kozani from local people every summer. Saffron has many properties and uses as it used in cooking, confectionery and pharmacy. It is considered as one of the most rare and expensive spice worldwide.
