Willow is a deciduous plant and reaches up to 25-28m. We found it near rivers, swamps, waterfalls and generally damp places. It is used for decorative purposes. Its bark is collected in the spring and dried. Willow has tonic, antirheumatic and pesticidal properties. Most properties are due to salicylic acid, a key ingredient of the famous aspirin.
