Ginger is bulbous rhizome with stalk 1-1,5m, with shiny leaves, yellow flowers in stem 15-20 cm which grows directly from the rhizome. In India, ginger is a medicine for general use for many years and a very important spice. The Arab traders brought the ginger in Europe. In cooking, ginger gives a unique flavor to dishes which contain vegetables, meat, fish as well as in soups.
