The Merkouroglou company has been active in the field of spices and herbs since 1926. It deals exclusively with wholesale sales making imports and exports to various countries.
Our company has modern facilities where the most sophisticated spice processing machines are available. The staff of our company has the appropriate expertise and is constantly receiving training through specialized seminars in Greece as well as in countries where various spices are produced.
Our history
Merkourios Merkouroglou, founder of the company, was born in Neapolis of Cappadocia, having enough knowledge about the spices he managed to create a road of spices to old Athens. In 1926, overcoming the difficulties of the time, he founded the Merkouroglou company with spices at Sophocleous Street in the center of Athens, importing spices from other countries and gradually expanded to importing aromatic plants and confectionery.
In 1972, having a lot of years his son Paschalis Merkouroglou at his side, he transfers his business to him. Paschalis who as an active and honest businessman manages to grow the business and to be honored in his field by continuing his father's work, to successfully offer oriental spices throughout Greece.
Today, the third generation of the Merkouroglou family keeps the vision of its founder alive.
Our facilities
Merkouroglou's company headquarters are located in Aspropyrgos, on the Avenue of NATO.
In a fully equipped space of 2,450 m², with spice and herb processing machines, modern office facilities and warehouses that meet the strictest specifications.
